Dad's Birthday Party

Last Sunday it was my Dad's birthday. Mum, Jessica and I had planned a surprise party for dad. Jessica and I told dad that we aren't going to church today. When Dad went to church, Mum told us to tidy up the house. After that Mum and I washed some dishes. Next Jessica and I prepared the food and put some decorations around the table. When Dad came home we sang the happy birthday song to him. We had marshmallows, strawberries, mandarins, pineapple, kiwifruit, chocolate, grapes, cheerios, cookies, gummy snakes, juice and carrot cake. The food was great. I gave Dad a ever folding card.

About Me

Hi my name is Blake. I am 9 years old and I go to Carlton School. I love to play chess and I am the chess master in my school. I love to eat pizza, lollies and ice cream. I like to read and draw. I am very good at Maths. I love to play tag, cricket and soccer. I can get upset very easily. I like snakes and cats. I love Warrior Books, their Author is Erin Hunter. I have passed level two in chess.

Food For Thought

Last week Room 6 learnt about eating healthy food and how to label read. The person who talked to us about food was called Nova, she is a nutritionist. We went to New World last Friday to test our label reading. We looked at the labels of the packaged foods, after that we went to the fruit and vegetables aisle. We then put the fruit and vegetables into there colour group. Nova and New World gave us a $50 voucher to buy a healthy lunch.

Who am I?

The Races

On Friday the 10th May Room 6 walked to the Racecourse. We watched someone show us how to clean a pony's hoof. She used a hoof cleaner to clean out the dirt and some rocks out of the ponie's hoof. After that I rid on Holly who is a pony. I had a good time at the Racecourse, I want to go there again.
